Amazon is rolling out new credit cards aimed at small businesses, introducing two offerings designed to reshape how entrepreneurs manage spending, rewards and cash flow.
The company launched the Prime Business Card and the Amazon Business Card, both no-annual-fee cards and positioned as all-in-one financial tools for business owners seeking higher rewards and greater control over expenses.
Shelley Salomon, Vice President of Amazon Business, said the cards were developed directly from customer feedback.
“We heard from business customers that they wanted more from their card—more rewards outside of Amazon, more flexibility in how they pay, and more control over how their teams spend,” Salomon said in the company’s release.
New cards stack rewards
The Prime Business Card offers Prime members 5% back on U.S. purchases across Amazon Business, Amazon.com, Amazon Web Services and Whole Foods Market, up to $150,000 annually. Non-Prime members using the Amazon Business Card earn 3% back on similar purchases.
Beyond Amazon-related spending, both cards extend rewards to broader business categories. Cardholders earn 2% back on their top three spending categories each statement cycle and 1% on all other eligible purchases. Travel booked through the U.S. Bank Travel Center earns 5% back with the Prime Business Card and 3% with the standard version.
The cards also include financing features designed to improve cash flow. Business owners can split eligible Amazon purchases into equal monthly payments at 0% APR for up to 12 months, offering short-term flexibility without annual fees.
Courtney Kelso, Senior Executive VP at U.S. Bank, said the program is designed as a broader financial toolkit for small businesses.
Spend management tools
The cards also include global acceptance through Mastercard’s network, available at more than 100 million locations worldwide, along with AI-powered fraud monitoring and Zero Liability protection. Additional perks include World Elite Mastercard benefits and rebates on common expenses, such as gas, dining, and travel, from Mastercard.
Amazon also emphasized spend management tools, including real-time tracking, itemized reporting with Amazon transaction data, spending limits and virtual card controls designed for team-level expense oversight.
Existing Amazon Business American Express cardholders will transition to the new cards, with replacements expected to arrive by Aug. 14.
Applications are available through Amazon.com/businesscard-apply, with additional details provided in the company’s transition guidance and FAQ resources.
